Job Description – Line Cook

We’re looking for skilled and hard-working line cook to join our team!
This position reports directly to the executive chef to make sure that his vision for the menu comes to life. You will be responsible for food prep, as well as cooking and plating menu items to perfection. We will rely on you to help make sure that food is prepared in a timely and high-quality fashion. You will handle food prep, as well as setup and breakdown of the kitchen station daily. Compliance with health and safety regulations in a critical component of this role.
We are a locally-owned restaurant serving fresh oysters, craft spirits and chef-driven cuisine. We are passionate foodies and we’re hyper-focused on customer experience. We’re a small team, so roles are fluid and everyone is expected to help out however and wherever they can. We have an amazing clientele who believes in our mission as much as we do. We’re growing week-after-week, and we’re excited to add dynamic new members to our team.
You have a love for the fast-paced, high-pressure environment that can only be found in the kitchen of a busy restaurant. You work best under pressure and you feel accomplished and exhilarated after a busy night of preparing amazing food for hungry customers. You take the pressures of working under an executive chef in stride and are excited for the opportunity to learn from someone who takes his craft just as seriously as you do. You know that you can’t cook great food in a sub-par kitchen, so you make sure that your station and your ingredients are stocked, you station is prepped and you take cleanliness very seriously.
