Job Description – Bartender
Plumb Oyster Bar
We’re looking for an innovative and highly-skilled bartender to join our team!
This position is responsible for mixing up some of the finest craft cocktails in the Capital Region! In addition to bar classics, you will prepare our signature cocktails and serve our carefully-curated selection of wines, beer and spirits. You will be encouraged to use your talents to create new cocktails to add to our offerings. You will be responsible for serving your bar guests as well as preparing drinks for the service bar. Side work, prep-work and various cleaning duties are a routine part of the gig. The bar is your baby, and you’ll be expected to maintain it as such.
We are a locally-owned restaurant serving fresh oysters, craft spirits and chef-driven cuisine. We are passionate foodies and we’re hyper-focused on customer experience. We’re a small team, so roles are fluid and everyone is expected to help out however and wherever they can. We have an amazing clientele who believes in our mission as much as we do. We’re growing week-after-week, and we’re excited to add dynamic new members to our team.
You get excited talking about craft spirits and lesser-known varietals of wine. You have a passion for entertaining people and teaching them about your craft. You’re also kind of a foodie and you love helping people pair great food with amazing spirits. You take pride in what you do. You’ve worked in the restaurant industry before, and it shows through your ability to stay calm, even when you’re in the weeds. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a bartender preferred.
